Currently stuttering through the pal version of Tomb raider. It is slow at alot of points, but so far I'm realy enjoying myself.

Nice pickup, tn0w. Would love a copy of Digital Pinball that wasn't going to cost me the earth. I woulda paid that price for those games in a heartbeat. Especially if they're in good nick. Thx! Hm.. Don't know about the price for a PAL Digital pinball in australia, but in germany the cheapest are around 6 Euros. And some even charge nothing for postage.

I paid 64 Euros for it (about 55 pound) and four of the games i allready own. Now I have to wait in what state this bunch is in, but still found it quite a nice deal.

If sold as excellent working condition then they need it rammed back up where it came from. Dishonest sellers suck and what comes around also goes around... I don't know how people can sleep at night palming their crap on to other people without being truthful. You are absolutely right about this, This one also was sold as "Fully working and tested unit" At least their return policy is good. This is the Second time this happened with this seller (first time was a dreamcast), and also the last time I bought something there.

Couple of questions: Has it been modified? If so, have you checked for broken solder points or wires to see if anything is shorting? Have you tried a different cable? I know it sounds silly, but it can make a difference sometimes. And finally, have you opened it up and checked the motherboard/PSU for any signs of damage or scoring/burning? But if you ask me, it sounds like something's shorting out somewhere. No its a stock model, apart from some dust inside everything looked good. I did try a different cable but with the same result (doesnt sound silly, it was the first thing I checked ) The mb and psu both look good, but I will check it next week a bit better. Another question, does the saturn have some kind of safety build in which switches of the system(like the dreamcast) when something runs hot? Im asking cause after a view minutes I can switch it back on.

I bought a second model 1 saturn this week on ebay and it arrived today. After letting it warm up to room temperature I started her up, all fine, time/date settings show, boot screen and menu shows. But after ten minutes it shuts off by itself. First I thought the PSU died but the case was at a normal temperature and no burned smell. After 3 minutes I could turn it on again like nothing happened, but after 10 minutes; powers off again. The problem is most likely the psu, Does this sound familiar to anybody? thx

Since i have my saturn hooked up to my samsung hdtv with RGB Scart I decided to try this out: www.arcadeshop.de/Audio-Video-Scanline-Generator-SLG-Scart_1080.htmlOverall, I'm happy with the picture my tv delivers, I'ts nicely scaled up to a 4:3 image. But.. It's missing something( I know CRT is the best but It's not an option for me). I will post my finding as soon the gadget arrives
