Or the speed the of the rips, slower is better. Eh, it's not 1997 anymore. My burner has a minimum of I believe 25x, and I always burn discs for Saturn at max speed, and have done so for about 15 years. Never an issue. Weird how it still gets pushed to this day.

Doesn't really answer his question though, does it? haha
(I don't have an answer myself, mind)

How safe is that website to use? Is there any recourse a buyer would have like they would with using Paypal? Mercado Livre is one of the safest online sites to buy here in Brazil, it is extremamely biased toward the buyer, to a point where it's kinda annoying to be a seller. They have a policy where they'll only pay the seller when the buyer receives the product and sign to the site that they got it and everything was correct, if there's anything wrong with the product, the buyer can send it back and get the money back right away. The only other way for the seller to get the money is if the buyer doesn't contact the site in 40 days or so if I remember correctly, then the money will be deposited to the seller. I never had any problem buying there, and I've been doing it since 2004. Do not though that generally, if you're outside of Brazil then you'll have to as someone to buy n your behalf as a middleman service.

Fenrir costs less and works with less games. I think the only thing it has over Rhea is that it can load bin/cue without needing to convert it first. Not sure if it's any cheaper - I've seen it scalped on ebay for 300€ already. Right, I was just under the impression that since it's the first revision that updates would happen to fix the issues as time went along, so I just found the quote odd in this moment. If it were a year on and nothing, then I could understand it 100%, and will reserve judgement myself until that point. And yeah, while initially cheaper, they were fast bought up and are being resold for stupid prices. It's a shame, but not sure how they didn't see this coming? At least it seems that the next be coming sooner rather than later. I'm still looking at the Satiator myself.

I guess it's the tried and tested "you get what you paid for" case here. Based on what, sorry?

Nah, nearly if not all TecToy Saturn hames just have the untouched US versions of Saturn games inside. The difference is the box and manual really, and due to costs at the time just how hard to find certain games of the era are to find there, especially in acceptable condition. Most Saturn games in Brazil from even back in the day seem to be JP and US imports. Best place to search for it is Mercado Livre, that's kind of our "ebay", most online purchases and sales made here are from there: lista.mercadolivre.com.br/clockwork-knight#D[A:clockwork%20knight]But I checked now and there's no copies of Clockwork Knight 1 by Tectoy on it at the moment tho, but keep checking it once a week or so, with any luck you'll eventually see someone selling one. Yep, that is where I got my Tectoy CK2 in somewhat good condition after looking on there for a decade or more and using a middleman on eBay to buy it for me. I check daily, of course~

I was oblivious to that release. Any version differences within the game itself? Nah, nearly if not all TecToy Saturn hames just have the untouched US versions of Saturn games inside. Congrats on the find Tongara, demo collecting seems to be very hard indeed.
You're now the only of this CG Selection on Satakore.com :
Depends on the demo, but yes, you are right in general. Luckily, my demo seeking days are officially over, and I only have 10 games to go on my Saturn list until I'm officially done, all of which are variants of Clockwork Knight 1+2 (If anyone is interested, you can see the journey at peter.clockworkknight.com/CKGames.txt). Back to CG Selection, I know at least 3 other Japanese people have bought this in the last 10 years. And presumably, Madroms owns (or owned previously) this and took the picture for their site. But yeah, weird seeing just my name on a game. haha

After a near 10 year search, I finally got this bad boy: It's a pretty rare, hard to find one, and compared to the one above, mine is actually in pristine condition. It's a MOOK (Magazine and Book combo) with a Sega Saturn disc included (my disc had 1 tiny scratch on it, and I was really impressed with the condition.. Inside the magazine is CG art for the games listed on the front and certain bits of info (and I think interviews with the designers of the CG intros, etc). The disc contains CG videos from the 8 listed games, and even CG image galleries, to boot! They can all be seen in this video:

Been buying online from Japan since the mid-2000's, but much like yourself I'd find the occasional really great deal on eBay which you just couldn't pass up. Now it's exactly what you say with the "SEGA SATURN WITH 1 PAD! L@@k! RARE!1" crap and barely anything else. Oh well, such is life, I suppose.

Clockwork Knight 1 and 2 are mediocre games in any region,i would have thought there would have been plenty of copies floating around in such a big market as the Usa.I have never had a pal saturn but at least when i look on ebay poor Saturn games seem far cheaper in comparison to the NTSC U copies and Clockwork Knight seems to be pennies in jp and in europe and we all speak different languages. Your feelings on the game aside, yes, there were plenty of copies floating around. Clockwork Knight 2 especially got great reviews in Magazines in the US, and Usenet posts of the era echo the same. A lot of copies sold. The issue with US Saturn games doesn't always seem to be about... "rarity". I'm not sure what it is, but there are just certain US games, some of them sequels that just seem to go for stupid money for no reason. US Saturn games seem to be going up in price again regardless. PAL copies of CK are still in the... "okayish" range, but not anything like 10 years ago. It wasn't that uncommon to find a PAL copy of CK1 for around £15, and CK2 usually around the same or just a bit more at £20, but I've seen them creep up over time. Sometimes you can get CK1 PAL ver. for as little as £25 (still a bit expensive imo), and as expensive at times at £40. For CK2, I've seen it usually anywhere between £35-50 max, which is still quite the increase. You might be able to get a copy cheaper still in a bidding auction, mind! I don't see the prices on PAL games getting any better anytime soon. JP copies of CK1 and 2 are interesting. Back in 2010, you could find copies for around £5-7 each on eBay, with their spine and regcards intact. Then around 3 or 4 years ago, I noticed they were being sold for around £10-12 each, which while not AWFUL, when you previously paid around half of that, it sure feels like it. Nowadays I'm seeing JP copies of both games go for around £16 all the way up to just over £25 (!!). Of course, there are listings where this is less, but this seems to be becoming common on eBay for the JP versions. There is a double pack of CK which is a Japan exclusive known as "Pepperouchau no Fukubukuro". It, of course, has both games on the one disc and a few bits of extra content including a 3D Calendar for the year 1996. For the longest time it was "cheapish", and I remember getting my first copy of it in 2010 for about £13, which was pretty good value considering it was 2 games in one and all the extras. A year or 2 ago I saw it being sold for £40~, and a quick check today is showing listings of it for that price and all the way up to £68 (!!!!). Luckily, on Japanese auction sites the CK games are all much more reasonably priced. That said, Japanese games in general seem to be once again going up. The same thing happened in the 20th anniversary era back in late 2014-mid 15, when all of the press that previously slated the machine suddenly "always loved it!", YouTube gaming channels started covering it heavily around that era, which in turn seems to have encouraged more people to buy the games and consoles (not a bad thing), which then made sellers then clock on to and they increases prices (this is the bad thing), and it's just gone up from there, because everything "retro" is SUPER RARE!!!1 I'm trying to buy up the last remaining bits I need before the year is out... Just a few more bits and pieces to go! I'm sorry for the wall of text about this, It's just I'm looking at CK stuff daily on eBay and Yahoo Japan so I've seen this happening in realtime. It's really weird. US version of Keio Flying Squadron for Sega CD is even worse. I think it's over a thousand bucks now. So is the English version of Keio 2. Yeah, it's pretty painful to see. I always kicked myself for not picking up that book when I had the chance... I think it's a combination of the two, but my god are prices shit right now. I don't see it getting any better myself.
