But... why?

For me with rarity, a copy shouldn't be readily available. So the NA Sega Saturn Cleaning Kit I once owned is rare. Rare should be rare not something you or I can buy immediately. It's just verbiage, 😁 Eh, I kinda get where you're coming from, but it's not constantly available and with currently just 1 listing on eBay and 1 on Yahoo Japan it's not like there is a copy for everyone to easily just get one... obviously, part of that is also to do with price. Is it available enough, though? Sure. Hard disagree with your point of view, though, as I consider your definition to be on the "super rare" or "very rare" side. I'd put the NA Sega Saturn Cleaning Kit on that scale, even though it was sold in good numbers at retail at one point... so, do we knock off "Rare" points for that? The Clockwork Knight Sample CD I posted earlier is also on that scale, as it's almost never put up for sale (I've only seen it once personally, and most don't know of it's existence), and I only know of two other people with it, it would have only been given to places to review/demonstrate the game, etc. Again though, the contents of the CD are the same as the final retail version, so even if it's a scarce CD then and now, do we knock off points for that, too? It seems like a complicated issue if we overthink it, imo. Maybe reclassifying things like Delisoba Deluxe to be on the "rarer" side rather than explicitly "rare" is a better idea, or having the terms "rare" and "super/very rare" used better. Each to their own, though, I suppose. It's always nice to see other points of view~

I've struggled to find a rom of Delisoba online. It would be good if you could provide a dump of it Huuum, being a total jerk with my PC will not help me with this one. Can detail how I'd proceed, all of this on a Linux machine on which I cannot install anything :
- how do I extract the iso ? - how do I host it to the internet ? As for the rarity of the game, I hope it is indeed rare, any idea of how many copies were done ? EDIT : because Tongara's post : less than 20 copies you say ? I'm shocked, I'd have say more in the 500-1000 range. And no I did not get it from the recent ebay auction, had a Gixen set for it, but Gixen's server went down at the final moments ! In any case, I had put a price lower than what it went for.
In my above comment I've directed him to where he should be able to grab a copy (Saturn Memories SegaNet Discord server), so hopefully that is sorted soon. It was shared in there a few months ago from my memory. They are quite good about sharing stuff in there, so they may well share it again. As for how many copies, it's hard to say, but as above it was only given to contestants of the show it was played on and -POSSIBLY- audience members, making the number very limited. It's not the rarest ever Saturn game by far, but it's up there in the rare list for sure! I edited my comment about 20 copies because that was just an estimate on my part, and I actually meant to write "200", but my Keyboard sucks. It could be more or less than that, but it was given out in limited numbers and never for general sale, so it was better to say "very limited numbers" than a random number pulled out of my backside. heh But, 500-1000 copies sounds a bit too high for this (to me, anyway) due to the limited way this game was given out. It's not uncommon to see this game go for stupid prices. Then again, maybe 500-1000 copies is in the right ballpark. I'm not sure if it's possible to know, sadly. I know it's not an especially difficult game to get, especially in Japan, but the price is more of an issue, I guess.

Oh well, in all craziness I bought a copy of Delisoba Deluxe. Have no idea what I'm gonna do with this one, is it really super-rare-super-sought-after ? Ah, was it through an eBay auction? Me and a few friends were watching a listing the other day, went for an okayish price. It's not really rare or sought after, just expensive. It's price causes curiosity. Disclaimer IMHO Nah, it's also quite rare. It's not a brilliant game or anything, but copies were only given to contestants (and possibly audience members) of the show it was played on. Given that, there are a very limited number in the world potentially. But, I would agree too, I think the price adds to the rare factor. I don't think it's extremely sought after either. I've struggled to find a rom of Delisoba online. It would be good if you could provide a dump of it If you hop onto the SegaNet Discord server, someone there should be able to hook you up with a copy in the #saturn channel. The Server is owned by the Youtuber "Saturn Memories". discord.gg/FgWBaS7.

I've got a number of these blister packed games which I assume were continental Europe only releases, as I never ever saw any in the UK back in the day. Yeah, as far as I know they were exclusively French releases, but I feel like I heard that a few places JUST outside the borderline of France also got them due to technically being part of the country or something like that. I never knew aout the blister versions until around a decade ago from eBay. I only want these because I collect the Clockwork Knight series and all of it's related releases, personally. It's cool that people actually collect the blisters.

Sadly, you're about 10 or so years too late to get a $30-40 (if not cheaper) Saturn. heh

Really appreciate that, Madroms! I'm especially happy to finally see the CK2 Blister Pack~
I remember seeing that exact CK1 Blister Pack on eBay and passing it up at the time (probably 8 years ago or so as I said before), because of the condition it's in and they wanted I think around 80-100 Euros for it.
At some point I'll have to track these down myself when cash isn't a problem and buy them for myself~

Hi, I was wondering if anyone here on the board owned this copy of Clockwork Knight and would be willing to take a picture of the front and back of it for my soon to be returning Clockwork Knight fansite. I have one image of it, but it's small and at a weird angle. (Credit to sega-saturn.net) There was an auction listed for it probably 8 years ago, but I forgot to save the pictures at the time (my fault), so I'd really appreciate it. I also wanted to ask if anyone could confirm or deny if Clockwork Knight 2 also got the same blister pack treatment? If it did, then could a picture or two also be taken for the same purposes, please? As always, thanks in advance, and uh... yeah!

God idea for a thread, I'll contribute.
I picked up some Clockwork Knight telephone cards (remember those?!) over the last few years. One of them even came in an envelope which alluded to it being sent to the original owner from someone who worked at "Sega Consumer Software R&D Div.".
Cool~

Totally didn't understand your post the first time Tongara I should play both clockwork knight games again. Really enjoyed them. Just simple fun, and the animations are on point. I'll be sure to spell it out in a much clearer way in future. haha /s But, yeah, they are fun games~

Resident Clockwork super fan here. The code is as follows: Right, Up, Left, Up, Right, Up, Down, Up, Left, Up, Left, Up. The "secret command" is to be put in at the title screen (the main title screen), and simply unlocks the Level Select. Hope that helps! Edit: Added said screen for refrence~ (Credit to Saturn Memories on Youtube as it was taken from his video).
