Bug!

Bug! is the same kind of deliciously-frustrating game experience (for me) as playing Touring Car. I know it's not good for my sense of well-being, but I can't resist playing it once or twice every six months or so. It's a controller-buster, that's for sure. Pretty unfair in parts, but fun in equal amounts. BABYSEALS is a code to remember for when it gets too much. B, A, B, Y, South (down), East (left), A, L (shoulder button), South (down), keyed on the start screen gets you a level select and ABC together skips to the next stage. You're welcome

Lol +1 for F1 Challenge here, too.
I regularly go through all the Saturn racers (at least once every 3 to 6 months) and F1 Challenge is probably my third most played after Daytona CCE and Sega Rally. Virtua Racing is my guilty pleasure, alongside Touring Car, though TC set-up is still a mystery I haven't cracked.
Oh, and hi Saturnova. Welcome to the boards.

...decades after it came out.
I'm currently on disk 2, the underwater tunnels bit and I'm loving every minute.
However, I realised today that I've never been this far in the game. I was shocked. I remember playing the life out of the first two, but not liking the battle system in Saga. Plus I was already playing N64 by the time PDS came out. It's such a great game that I cant believe I've had it all this time and never gave it a serious go.

This is a great idea, but I'd echo the comments about price. I'd love to own one but right now? My common sense tells me to keep hold of my cash and continue emulating and/or using the Pseudo cart.
One to watch, though, for sure.

Lol the other thread is not about the Satiator, it's more an argument about how long CDs last.
By all means, talk about it, I'm really looking forward to getting my hands on one.

Like my Jays the Mets should be out be out of the race by the end of August so the MLB season should only have a short term impact Haha! Nice try This year's PECOTA predictions for 2020 say otherwise.... Anyway, I'm going to break out Bottom of the 9th (JP version) just to celebrate the potential of deGrom's 3rd Cy Young winning season. Heck even, Stroman is expected to have a breakout year in 2020. However, I often find myself rooting for the Bluejays when they're playing the Skankies. Jays would be my AL team if I was forced to pick one. As for Daytona? it's my go-to racer on the Saturn. I always have a quick blast while deciding what game to spend the whole session with.

I just love my Saturns, and even more-so these days now I can emulate on the go.
My overall gaming activity took a major hit in the the last 18 months or so, but it's back with a vengeance now.
Mind you, when the MLB season starts again shortly, I can't guarantee the same dedication to my Sega hobby.

On my PAL Saturn: Daytona, Quake and Soviet Strike. On my JP Saturn: Daytona CE, Nissan Overdrivin' GTR, Astal and Panzer Zwei. On my Rasp Pi4: Prikura Daisen, Steam Hearts and Cotton Boomerang via Yabause QT On my GPD XD: Panzer Dragoon Saga and Darius 2.
I work away from home a lot, so my GPD gets its neck wrung daily.

I cant choose, but if I had to plump for one, I'd go for the almond-shaped buttons on model 1.

The unofficial Amiga port was pretty sweet as I remember, I played it on an 040 and it ran fairly decent. On an 060 it flies along at full screen. Lol I ran it in a tiny window as a slide show with my first setup You had a posh Amiga Gloom ran beautifully, IIRC.

I always had it in my mind that Saturn Doom is appalling and rarely went near it. When I dug it out last year, I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was not nearly as bad as its rep would have you believe. Fair enough, the PSX version is worlds better but it's not as horrific as say the Amiga 1200 version (even with an 030 chip and extra ram). I havent played the pc original so I cant compare, but imo, it's not nearly as "unplayable" as the reviews suggest. I did hear however that the later levels slow down more than the early ones.

I'm very much interested in getting a Satiator. Not much info is available to find out about release dates though.
And the guy was a bit of a dick on Twitter when asked about it. I havent heard of the other item.

My comments are rendered invalid to anyone playing Wipeout and NFS for the first time on the Saturn, if they've not previously played the PSX versions.
The PS versions of both titles run at a smoother rate, are more responsive and (especially Wipeout) possess better visual effects like transparencies, etc.
However - the Saturn versions of both titles play very well indeed.

Wipeout 2097 is an ace game, and Need for Speed is one of my personal favourites (I kind of like Nissan Overdrivin' GT-R more, the JP version) but they both look and play slightly better on the PS1.
This is not that big of a deal, but 25 years after the fact, I'd put the PS1 versions on first if I was having a 32 bit racing session.
Now I feel dirty.....
