Last Bronx all day. Gritty and hardcore and a more intuitive control system.

What, you're a Yankees guy? Might as well be a PSX fan.

I have no idea about MCD games and their value, but that seems steep to me. Maybe from a collector's viewpoint it's a steal but as for playing? 230 bucks is a lot for a beat'em up.
Bottom line is, if you feel like it was worth it, then you got a deal, bro.
I realise that's not helping you put a resale value on it and I apologise.

Thanks for the info About C&C. I will get it then. I am quite familiar with the first 3 C&C games on the PC. I was a big fan of the Franchise. Never haver played the consoles C&C though, that's why I wanted to add the first C&C to my Saturn Collection. ps: My copy of Burning rangers arrived in the meantime and I really like the game so far. Couldn't you emulate it first to see if you like it?

He also did the same thing with Quake and Duke Nukem, 'til he 100%-ed them. I wonder if got frustrated by the fact you can't actually 100% them like I did lol Whatever game you searched for the developer dolls on, is what I'm referencing here. I actually think that was Exhumed. Not, in fact, Quake or Duke. You're right.

I never played C&C back in the day, but my best friend was obsessed by the Saturn version to the point of not coming out to the skatepark with us, missing awesome sessions and racking up massive hours until he finished it. It's all he spoke about at the time, so I'm sure it's safe to say its playable on Saturn.

Yeah, Retroarch is my go-to for every platform from CPC to PSP - except Saturn. For some reason, the frame rate for Saturn emulation in Retroarch (on my Pi4 with 4GB ram) is like a slide show. I've been using the Yabause standalone for Saturn with good results, just not with Astal. Panzer Dragoon Zwei and Saga play very, very well, so that's the main thing. Most of the shooters are awesome too, so it's not that big of a deal. It's just frustrating that Astal is being a little bitch

I can't get Mednafen to play anything on any platform. I always get a different 'Unrecognized argument' message no matter which rom I try to load up.

Thanks for the replies, guys.
I'm struggling with getting an ARM chip-based emu for Pi and of course the GPD is running Android. It's not that big of a deal as I own the original and the repro version of Astal I can play on my actual Saturn. I may fire up my old Linux laptop and see if I can figure something out as an experiment.

Have any of youse had Astal running successfully in any emulator?
On the Raspberry Pi, it gets to the Sega screen then fades to black. I'm using Yabause.
On the GPD, it doesnt even get to the Sega screen. I'm using Sanshiro Yabause on there.
I've tried ISOs, mdf and bin/cue files but none work. Is Astal just one of those un-emulate-able titles or is there a secret?

I see what happened there. I have over 400 saturn roms on a dedicated ssd, it was the Action Replay cart rom or one of the 4meg ram cart roms I was looking for.
Sorry, bud.
