Wow just checked the price of US Burning Rangers, so expensive. I thought it would be around the same price as the PAL version but I was very wrong.
I've just updated my Guardian Heroes and Die Hard Arcade with Disc only US versions and have finally gotten rid of the PAL versions. Just Panzer Dragoon 1 & 2 to go now. But finding US disc only versions of those games are quite difficult. I may just opt for a JPN release.

Yes, US games prices are crazy these days. I sold my Panzer Saga copy at 460€ (and it was a bargain) and used this fund to finally end my US collection, glad this is done (until I add more titles ?) Sych, if you're seeking US games at decent prices, you could check the lukiegames site (they also have an ebay store) : www.lukiegames.com/They have quite a large stock, sometimes disc only, and their shipping options to Europe are nice. You have to get to the end of checkout to choose shipping, from $8 to $25. I did try the economic non tracked shipping, and got my games in good condition in less than 2 weeks.

Great game site. Some decent games there, thanks for the link, unfortunately they don't have the disc only copy of the two PD's at a reasonable price but will definitly have a good look at some of the others.

Been holding back on this for a while, but here is what I've acquired so far this year. These were purchased off another member on here. Pu-Li-Ru-La has been the game I've played the most. Somewhat dated, even when it was released. It does give a sense what it must be like to be on drugs. I got a great deal on a sealed copy of Cotton Boomerang earlier this year, but it eventually hit me that since it's sealed I'll no longer be able to play it and I wouldn't want to risk someone accidentally, ignorantly or maliciously opening it. I thought I might as well get it slabbed, and so I could give my own experiences of it. The whole process took about 7 weeks, which is way too long IMO. Not to mention how they grade it is entirely unclear and shady. I'm not even sure what a 85+ means. Given that just about every other sealed graded game gets that grade.

Wow some serious collections here.
Why are US games more expensive than PAL? To me PAL has better quality packaging...

Hum, I cannot quite agree on the packaging quality. The manual on US games are just way better, because the PAL ones have the multilangage ugly setup. Compare for instance Panzer Saga US manual with Panzer Saga PAL manual. As for the rest, both packaging are equally fragile, easily borken. I can agree that PDS PAL packaging is better than US packaging (except the manual).
Also, NTSC-US games are more expensive than PAL because the NTSC format is more widely supported, and allows 60hz more easily.
Finally, I guess US games are more sought after.

PAL plastic cases are easily the best of all of the Saturn packaging

Ok I see the 60Hz thing, but to me the US chooses the worst cover arts of all, PAL and Japanese versions are much nicer

postimg.cc/image/q03g45el7/postimg.cc/image/bgwb2vix7/postimg.cc/image/hule5zimj/postimg.cc/image/hule5z36z/So I gotta give a big thanks to Damien Sweeting over at Sega Mega Mods in the UK for doing this for me. I'm just not a fan of the Japanese CD cases or the bulky NTSC cases. So I've been collecting official Sega plastic cases. Buying every copy of Sega Worldwide Soccer 98 I can really and been hoarding them! Haha. I then asked Damien if he could make me up some custom PAL style game covers for my JPN and NTSC games. His price was very reasonable. I think it was about $9aud per cover. And they look great! Real Bout Fatal Fury would probably be my personal favourite. He did make up a few more aswell but I don't have any more spare cases to display them yet. Sorry Derek, World Series Baseball 98 is no longer a NTSC exclusive 😉

I agree the Real Bout Fatal Fury case is the best one but Streetfighter Zero 3 does give it a run for its money. The Final Fight Revenge case isn't too shabby either. I'm literally gobsmacked at the quality of the reprint. You got a good deal there. PAL plastic cases really were the best.

My copy of JPN Outrun arrived today. In great condition.
However the seller has sent me the wrong version. I specially asked him check the code on the disc for the revised version that ends with the letter A. That's what is required for the mk2 white Saturn.
He obviously didn't bother. What a pain.
Going to have to return this to Japan now for a refund.

Well that sucks. Some sellers can be pretty shitty. If you are asking specifically then it's obvious that you will return if it isn't right.

Oh shame, can you develop the differences between the 2 versions ?
