Hi guys,
I have two Saturn (model 2's) and im considering mod-chipping one of them and putting all my games in the loft as I need the space that they are currently taking up. The only problem is that I wont have access to my game manuals, but I may keep them behind.
I know I can get a mod chip from that Rob Webb site and it has some instructions, but my questions are...
1. Does it damage your saturn and lessen it's lifespan? 2. Do I need to rip the games I have onto my PC or is there a site I can download them from? (if so, which site is that). 3. Do I simply burn the games onto blank CD's?
Cheers guys ;D

Only thing you really need to do is region patch the images. Mod chips do not break region protection. Only copy protection.

Yes you could leave them as is and use the 4 in 1 card =) However it only takes a few seconds to region patch the images and then you could use an official memory cartridge if you have one. If not then may as well just keep using the Action Replay 4 in 1.

Nope, just a normal philips head screwdriver, the screws are located underneath...

I have successfully chipped my Saturn and have downloaded and burnt darius gaiden any donpachi but the music is missing? There are sound effects, but no music. I tried my originals and they are fine so it's just the back ups. Any suggestions?

You've downloaded ones with the audio as MP3, you need to find some nice ISOs...

Really? Because I always thought that MP3 ones wouldn't work, but I burnt one with an MP3 soundtrack yesterday and it retained its sound =P Although maybe I was just lucky =)

Your burning program converted it to CD audio data when you went to burn the game thanks to the .CUE file that comes with the .ISO that tells the burner where to put the data, and where to put each music track.
If you're just playing backups, make your own. MP3s lower the quality of the music a bit.
However, the advantage of this is that if you don't like the soundtrack in a game, replace it with your own. ;D I want to put some metal music to Radiant Silvergun. As a wise SuperDeadite once said, metal makes everything better. I want to see it make RSG playable.
