Grabbed something pretty neat off Ebay a couple weeks ago, a new unused "Projectneat" bundle. Apparently SoA donated around 1,000 or 1,100 of these sets to a nonprofit, Projectneat, to send out to schools across the US to help get internet access to classrooms. They'd planned on shipping out around 100,000 to classrooms by mid-1998 but I can't find any info on if they actually got any past the initial 1,000 that were sent out in october 1996. The one I got was shipped from Projectneat to a school district in rural Louisiana, where apparently it was never used, ending up in an electronics recycling center near the school in 2010, where it was sold to the guy I bought it from. The set looks kind of thrown together by Sega, like they just threw in whatever they had laying around. It's in a plain white shipping box (okay, it was meant to be used and all the packaging thrown out anyway) with a refurbished model 1 console, original style US controller, power cord, complete boxed HSS-0105 S-video cord (?) and the netlink items, including the modem, web browser, keyboard, keyboard adapter, phone cord, and manuals for everything.

I was really surprised when I found that bundle on Ebay. I'd heard of it a couple of times before but never really knew anything about it. I'd never even seen a picture of one of these before I saw the ones in the listing. All I've been able to find on it has been from a few short news articles from 1996.

Wow, I actually have something in my Saturn collection that you don't? Exactly I don't have all the variation of US consoles released. And I am missing this special Project Neat console

Hi, i am from Quebec Province of Canada, i think i got a pretty rare revision of the Sega Saturn, i could not find the Sega ID on the Saturn Database. Short Story, i bough this Sega Saturn some year ago in a flea market around Quebec City for $50, it seem like a french canadian unit. I got the unit and cable only. It seem like it's a launch french Canadian edition made in 95 with reverse door mechanist, totally different from any other Sega Saturn Model 1. Here's the data number. Bottom Sticker Manufactured in July 1995 HD Sega ID : 670-6367A (could not find that in the database) Back Sticker Model Number's MK-80000 Power Source : AC 120V 60Hz 25W Video Signal's NTSC_U Serial Number 650054194 Sega ID : 670-6365A (Seem conflicting) Another bottom sticker's in both English and French about Electrical Shock. Google drive folder with the picture with those conflicting Sega ID : drive.google.com/open?id=0B8d71AMv9VV-QkY1V2lfTHFLZGs

The 670-x Sega ID is actually for artwork, printout, stickers, etc. So the 6367A is the bottom sticker, and the 6365A is the serial sticker... on top of which the serial is printed. If you filter to 670-6365A and check the 2nd screenshot for a bunch of the entries, you can see that they have 6367A on the bottom sticker too.
So there's no conflict.
Your unit looks like a standard launch model... well, not one released at launch, but a bit later, but it's the same revision.
Thanks for sharing those pictures!

Thanks for the pics! Here is my HiSaturn MMP1 Does it have a video cd card? Can you post pics of that card, disassembled? I'm on the lookout for very early hi-Saturn MMP-1 video cd cards, they had an earlier boot rom. But the earliest ones I got were around BC50 002300 or so, yours is much earlier...

Thank you very much... I got that card in my unit too. Still looking for a possible earlier version (and the one later version).
