I really quite like the discussion going on here I think that's probably it. If you pick up later issues of SSM they really start to support the 2D library, mainly because they could say with certainty that 2D titles were better on the Saturn! at that point they probably decided to play on the strengths of the Saturn over the PSone. Which really wasn't hot air, alot of the Capcom 2D releases on the Saturn were miles better than the PSone versions. Early on 3D was probably the biggest thing, so it made sense to prioritize that as the best possible 3D graphics were enough to lure consumers who had grown up with 8 bit and 16 bit platforms.

Gamefaqs has every single game listed so it's nothing hard Sometimes I just have to google for more clarification.

This is not only an awesome list but an interesting read that game critics of the time were hating on 2D games as much as they were. 3D might have been popular in consoles at the time but 2D games still look amazing today.

A little update, right now I'm through 300 Japanese releases, so it's about 25% complete.
A little curio: I didn't expect to find out there's an "educational" game called Father Christmas, that was released only for Saturn and, originally, for... C64.

I know this isn't done, and it looks like OP hasn't been on since 2014, but could this be stickied anyway? It's pretty useful as-is (and maybe someone can finish it).

You forgot about Lunar: Samposuru Gakuen on Saturn (also on Game Gear), named Mahō Gakuen Lunar! (Magic School Lunar!).
