Georgia, one of my favourite places. welcome aboard! Really, how so ? Is it the varsity , world of coke , turner broadcasting or something more. Simply that Georgia is my first port of call when I pay my annual summer visit to the USA, it is always hot and wonderful after the damp squib weather of England. Stone Mountain is fantastic, Coke is king, Turner not so exciting for me. Sad about the Thrashers moving to Canada. Is that good enough for starters?

Agreed, to be fair 60hz gaming is best, whether it's Pal 60 or Ntsc 60, 50hz gaming can't touch it.

Hi mate, Doh!! I just realised what I have done... Lions share.... no that team is most certainly not them, try the Reds of Greenwich, I should have said I spent the Addicks share of my life in South London!!! Football aside though, I am envious that you have a couple of light guns- I really need to grab one or two for some bouts of House of the Dead and Virtua Cop! Have a nice evening mate.

Hi mate, You have tapped right into my Saturn vibe, the kid at Christmas analogy is spot on!! I too hope to build up a decent Saturn collection all over again and the modding idea interests me greatly but someone local (and good at it) would have to do it as I couldn't face sending it away!! I am actually in Sutton which as you probably know is in Surrey but for some reason likes to badge itself as a London Borough! I was born and have spent the lions share of my years in South London so I always count myself as a Londoner! I do follow a South East London football team as well! As for the Dreamcast - do yourself a favour and buy one when you are able, it is absolutely fantastic, it really is a machine that keeps giving and has some absolutely fantastic games for it- all at reasonable prices. I look forward to speaking more with you as we have very similar Saturn stories and it would be nice to see how you get on with your new collection.

Hi mate, I'm in a similar situation- I am a veteran gamer starting with the ZX Spectrum back in the 1980's, I have always been a fan of Sega systems being an early adopter of the Master System and Megadrive but sadly my old Saturn passed onto the great console world in the sky a few years back and like a berk I sold the games off and then I immersed myself in the current gen of consoles. Earlier this year I started to get back into playing on my Megadrive and was bitten by the Sega bug all over again, dusted off the Dreamcast and Master System but there was a hole where the Saturn should be. My family clubbed together to buy a new one plus games for my birthday, trouble is my birthday is in mid November and the machine has been stored somewhere since June!! (I have waited patiently haven't I??!!) This site is fantastic for Saturn gamers and is a good back up for all Saturn based activity and the general gaming banter is good also, there are some decent folk on here too making it one of the best gaming sites around and one I always check regularly. Welcome aboard.

My 8 year old kicks my butt at any fighting game I play against her, I always give it beans but she somehow always seems to win, Street Fighter 2, Virtua Fighter, Marvel Vs Capcom you name it!

I have been playing a lot of emulators on the DC, currently the Atari St. For some reason Atari machines emulate pretty well but Commodore ones are less great and I would love a decent C64 and Amiga emulator.
