Might be a pin that connects to the Saturn or the Saturn it's self where the lead connects is getting warn out. If it was switching between the two then it might of been a bad contact?

They are not branded and not fully pinned or wired. Maybe made right at the last moment and on the cheap. It was good of Sega to ship the RGB scart cable with the Saturn. Here is mine, all you can do is compare with your own. Not really a common scart end so if you have one of these then chances are you have the lead that shipped with the machine. Thing of interest is the screw it self and the hole of the plastic on the scrat end. Forget the white thing hanging off as this is my self done audio out! Another snap looking at the pins.

First date I took my woman out for a trip to Brighton, 1989 I think it was. I could leave the games at home which were a C64, Amiga and an all new Megadrive at that point, but little did she know I was heading towards many arcade machines! ;D In that little lost boy attitude stood next to Super Monaco GP, "Do you mind if I have a go"... AVIT!! She knew from the start what she was getting her self in to and what I mean by that is that games don't answer back either, or they never used too. It's a bit of give and take to be honest. Years later we can look back and take the piss at what we might of got away with to make it sound better... but it's always with-in reason things have been done else you would not still be together. Any ways... If you have not had the pleasure then enjoy this little MAN SONG! www.youtube.com/watch?v=NP4O6l5zbN4

haha! I can see the evidence at least. Be good and she will be kind. I've had 20++ years to work on what I've done and that's the difference.

You have to start off slowly. Allow your missus to think she is in control and you give her all the room and space that she wants while you move to the bedroom for some more gaming time as she watches the soaps... Years later you have TV's in every room and because you have so much gear now the bedroom is not big enough. So you either get your own room after a move or you take over the front room. A Super Reversal Street Fighter Style but slippery! Sure it can take years but your come good in the end. Gone are the days when your dad had a nice TV, a cool stereo and a betamax video player all nice and tidy... Even my dad today has a Wii, DVDR, Sky, Bluray, tropical fish, his own blockbuster video movie shelf and odds & ends like pocket TV recorders, mini speakers, notebook ect... He is proper gadget mad at the age of 67. AVIT! I'm a new age dad and what was once a front room is now a dungeon of goodness haha! Much could be emulated and space saved, but nah I hate that as it's not the same. Original rulez end of.

The lights dim and I hear a bass buzz sound as if the Death Star is about to fire when I switch it all on, not! lol Easy and lazy much of it. Not good pulling cables in and out and if it's hiding in a cupboard or something I forget about it for AGES. Some gear is put away for lack of space and comes out once in a blue moon... Indeed like a man-cave, I like that lol. At least you can tell your better half's your not the only one's with a stash of gaming gear and it's all very normal, maybe not haha!

Here, have a look at some of my mess my woman hates. As you might be able to spot I took the stand off my monitor. RGB cable for everything else other than Amiga was self made, and a gear4 speaker in front of the screen I use for sound. Saturn is below on top of a spare xbox1, xbox not live. Used to smoke in the same room, nice Amiga colour lol Blue boxes easy access to MD games. Here is my main PC dest. 14" TV has my Atari ST running Super Hang-on today. Normally another Saturn screen but I just got a Jaguar that took it's place for now on top on my PC. Far right you can see a Dreamcast, left of that tower is my 14" Dell LCD for DC - I push PC middle of table keyboard back and pop screen up. Again gear4 speaker shares some kit here. In the tower far right is my Amiga A1200T 060/50 with a Z4 Board and a Picasso II GFX card, Multi-sync monitor that displays all native amiga screen modes and VGA from the GFX card upto 1024x768. XBOX 360 sat on top of old PC not wired up. There are speakers behind LG screen for better sound for xbox360. All magnetically shielded of course. What a freaking mess lol ;D

If your too good then no one is your friend. If on the rare occasion people fancy some 2 player action there is a 32" CRT on the other side of the room where easy access to my main Saturn can reach. Personal use 14" is fine and most of the time it's just me any way.

I've an old Commodore monitor myself, lovely picture just toooooo small! Sit a little closer as you would if it was on a computer table, that's how mine are setup. Your need to sit at arms length away from a 14" screen to get optimum picture and size quality that is comfortable to use, that's all.

I have and bought new a Commodore 1084 ST Monitor and it's done many 1000's of hours. Picture quality looks as good as the day I bought it. Via RGB I run my MegaDrive1/MD2&32X/Multi-mega, Switched Saturn, PSone and my old Amiga A500+ off it. That's one corner of my gaming room. ;D Thing with me is I like to chop and change so I'm not abusing just the one screen every day of the year. That alone should make some last a tad longer than they would other wise. Enjoy them while they last any way and if your oldies have anything worth keeping an eye on or even trade for then do just that.

I have loads of CRT's and live buy them except for PC & XBOX360 which run on an LED 21" widescreen jobber, plus a 14" Dell LCD 4:3 screen I use only for Dreamcast.
CRT all the way. I could list them all but your be reading for AGES so best not.

No worries. Internal memory will still work while it's powered on. So you can save either Quake or Exhumed and then open the lid and pop Duke in with-out turning off if you fancy a look tonight. Have fun anyway.

Yes indeed. Just hunted down some info for you to have a look at and by the looks of it you can also do it if you own Quake. Thing was Duke came out just before Quake so most would of missed this way around to unlocking it like me haha! www.gamefaqs.com/saturn/573955-duke-nukem-3d/cheats

Yes Death Tank needs a minimum of 2 people else you can't really play it. It's 2 tanks on a mountain range and you can change the angle of you gun per turn to try and hit each other. A pre worms type game but no AI to play the other team.
Before this you may recall a PD game called Scorched Tanks on the Amiga which was the same thing, just the saturn version looks 100x better.
Yes if you have Exhumed/Power Slave & Duke it auto unlocks with-in Duke. The game did come with Power Slave, I think for beating it - it is not in Exhumed. And you can unlock Death Tank for beating Duke.
To be honest ALL Saturn fan's should own Exhumed, Duke Nukem & Quake. You owe it to your Satrun!
