There should be some grandia prelude vids on youtube
I should really get a copy off ebay especially with that cloth map *slur*
and yes the original Grandia is such an amazing game.. I just wish there was a hidden music option to listen to all those wonderful music tracks..
Its a shame this is also not available on the Grandia Digital Museum and that too is an amazing game although the 4 new dungeons are all you gonna get.

wow no enough mention of Dead or Alive thats very sad......
Please Please please consider darkstalkers revenge - Vampire Hunter!
Oh ya Asuka burning fest 120% has a pretty good combo system .. although I dunno if the whole roster of anime girl fighters appeals to you its still a great fighting game in its own right!

I think croc may have been better on psx too but I wasn't too keen on that but I was desperate for some platform games..
If you want to talk about 3D transparencies also check out:
Magical Hoppers/ Pandemonium
Dead or Alive the explosions in the danger zone
Shining force III spells
Sonic R's tracks especially Emerald road
Grandia has some transparencies in the spells although they don't look as vivid as the psx spells.
Even Mystaria /Riglord Saga has transparency polygon on the blue crystal save point and thats a really old game!
Nights has some transparencies in the background too. especially when you fight Wizeman and on some of the boss backgrounds

Its cool that was really the main aim of youtube was to inform ppl about saturn gaming where there was really not much info around.... and a lot of bashing on saturn games which basically put many saturn owners off (who knew very little about the hidden gems)... were from playstation owners .. you know the insecure type... >.>

Sonic R and Dead or Alive hold up very well today. Especially if you can unlock emerald road as for Dead or Alive the 3D engine is much more solid than VF2's
For 2D games. that would probably be between Princess Crown, Cotton 2, Darkstalkers Revenge or Marvel vs Street Fighter for sheer wow graphics.

VF2 was the main reason why I got into the Saturn.. back when this came out there was a huuuge buzz around it.. I would say I was good but never great because most of my mates prefered tekken games so I never really got to be very good you should check on youtube and search for some VF2 super combos

for me its games that combine both the 2D and 3D aspects of the Saturn. Grandia, Silhouette Mirage and Radiant Silvergun springs to mind ^_^
Well something had to give and I guess it was the 3D. If you look at the playstation I guess it did fantastic 3D but the 2D sucked compared to other 32-bit systems.
The saturn on the other hand does good 3D (although games like Sonic R, Exhumed, Quake, Shining Force III and Grandia show some Fantastic stuff that surpass the 'saturn is underpowered in 3D' comments) and then there's the fantastic 2D..
Basically imo the playstation was machine that excelled in 3D while the Saturn was an all rounder in 2D and 3D

I think Sega's excuse was that Tecmo wanted a fair bit of money for Sega to bring the liscence to the West.
It woulda been nice though to see it come over as the "bounce" could have helped sell a few copies. Plus I think the 3D engine surpasses VF2's

alot of people usually start of with Han and although hes pretty average and strong personally I think Han is the most boring of the Guardian Heroes.
You should try the others they offer a challenge and the street fighter-esque moves and magic attacks are pretty easy to pull out into great combo's
Your best challenge will be to try and string together 100+ hit combo's
