Thank you all for your input I will get it modded and let you know how I got on should anyone else be considering this. I will consider gett8ng the action replay as well as suggested. How many games roughly require the extra memory?

Yes. In the description it says it will also mean my pal games play at 60hz as well.
Would you go for the mod under those circumstances?

Hi all. I am finally deciding to take the plunge and get some Japanese Saturn games. I have a pal Sega Saturn and on EBay there is a guy with good feedback who will mod my Saturn for £30 plus postage costs. The alternative is to buy an action replay which on EBay at the moment is about £40. With the postage for the above cost is about the same. Recommendations about what is best to do would be much appreciated.

Anyone know of any arcades in the south of the U.K.
Excluding seaside resorts. I mean a proper arcade with 80s/90s games. Pinball etc.

Hi man. Good to see someone on here who also played N64 back in the day.
Now having a Saturn I realise actually I had the wrong console at the time. Although Zelda OOT and Mario 64 were and still are two of my favourite games of all time!
Be interested to see what games you get. I only got my Saturn a couple of years ago. So far I have only really played Virtua racing properly. Once my one year old daughter gets a little older I should have more time on my hands to play some more!

Thank you all for your feedback. It is good to see a lively forum here I'll take the advice given on Virtua Racing I'm not expecting an awful lot from that one but hopefully it will turn into a decent racer. I usually prefer the arcade racers so I'm looking forward to Daytona I played Pandemonium on the PS1 and really enjoyed that. Might have to reminisce and pick that up soon. I do seem to remember that game being as hard as nails though! Right from the start as well. Usually with most platformers you get a gentle start!

The games I got with my saturn are listed below:- Virtua cop Daytona racing Virtua racing World series baseball World series baseball2 Virtua fighter Digital pinball Sim city 2000 Myst Euro 96 Sega worldwide soccer 97 Only had a chance to test the games worked at the moment. But did have a couple of hours at Virtua Cop which I enjoyed. No Athlete Kings or Winter Heat but thanks for the "heads up". If I see them floating around for a good price I'll be sure to grab them. Thank you both for your recommendations. I shall be hunting ebay sometime next year for some of those. I'll just exhaust what I have for now and then look for some new games in the new year. Shenmue I started that game last year and couldn't give it the time it deserved back then. Sometime soon I'm going to restart that. Only got about 7 hours in and then left it. Knew then it was an all or nothing game. Wasn't ready for it to take over my life! Along with all the Sega consoles in my "Games Room" I do have an Atari Jaguar. Look forward to hearing from people with one of those. Not used it much personally. Just picked one up cheap from a boot sale one year.

Hello fellow Ninja I reckon you're what a foot soldier looks like without there mask on! I'm currently on my Wii at the moment playing Xenoblade Chronicles. 82 hours in. Probably got another 40-50 hours to go if I do it properly. Best Japanese Role Playing Game I've played in years. Thoroughly recommend it. I own a PAL Sega Saturn. What decent platformer would you recommend I buy first? The console I bought only came with Sports games.

Hi everyone My name is Tom and I became a member of the Sega Saturn owners club just over a couple of weeks ago when I managed to acquire a console a couple of weeks ago. I now have every sega console something I have been looking to achieve for quite some time! The Saturn however is the one console I had never played before! Looks like a lively place to chat about everything Sega and other subjects. Looking forward to interacting with you all.
