Big money for those of us with unmodded hardware though....I watched a YT play of the Saturn port and it looked far better than I expected it too. I don't know why - but I had the impression that it wasn't that great - not sure how I got that impression. I presume the RAM cart allows the whole level to be loaded at one go?
I used to own Metal Slug X on PS1 and it was a nice port but I expect it has compromises that I cannot remember..

It could either add 10 points or just make 990 the required value in the unlock devil mode test. Adding is probably more "accurate".

zyrobs - The font of knowledge. You should try and formulate and publish a lookup table of all the info you have zyrobs. I suspect it would be of great value to the Saturn hardware community. (maybe you already have?)

The Dreamcast and 360 meet the Daytona need.

Nice job. Japanese cables are very mean in length. The controller cables are shorter too. I read once it was to do with the size of rooms in a typical Japanese home but that could be nonsense.

Watched a YT video yesterday and you can recreate PC running Windows 95 on it. It's truly impressive technology. Gate arrays have been around for a long time (I configured primitive chips like this when I did my Computer Science degree in the late 80s) but the performance and scale of the tech today is mind blowing. I can see it being used in business at some point in the future to enable mission critical legacy IT systems to keep running.

It's looking good all right. How far it progresses remains to be seen as it must be getting close to the limits of the underlying chip. Who knows what the next gen chip will be able to achieve.

I suspect it's a just a dud disc. Thankfully that game is dirt cheap to pick up.

Check satakore.com for revisions of Saturn games. link to PAL VF2 in satakore.comI thought that PAL VF2 was the "best" version with respect to bug fixes etc. but I could be wrong.

It really is worth it. Those old images with the right cable sing on the old CRT. I can't vouch for the OSSC or equivalent but I can only presume that the better the connection to it the better the result.
It might be worth looking East to see if you can get something from Japan since there is a trade deal in place with the EU? There are JP based sellers on Facebook who might be worth checking out.
