The minor graphical issues are a non-issue to me because they don't effect the gameplay. Not only that, I feel the more impressive things they pulled off at the expense of "taxing" the hardware were worth the risk. They made these big levels with fires and sparks flying everywhere. Plus some transparency effects. All of that is worth the graphical issues which never play into my mind. Alot of the game is quite beautiful IMO despite being a bit more mechanical in feel. The small section before the first boss has a great purple/burnt look to it, not sure why it always sticks out when I played it, but it does. Mhmm, not sure I agree totally there. It suffers the usual Saturn problem of little to no lighting, leaving everything looking very flat. Compared to the PS1 it's quite an obvious difference.

I first played it on PS1, and absolutely adore it. I even love the cheesy English voice track! :3 Have you played Grandia Museum on Saturn? what is grandia museum? It's kind of a Gaiden/side story game on Saturn. Look it up, it's pretty cool.

Same. Croc is the...least offensive? Apart from the bit where Croc blacks up.

I have no issue with Croc's controls personally. They take some getting used to for sure, but compared to Tomb Raider it's easily the more fluid and responsive game. Same here. In fact once you master the controls, Croc is no problem. The 180 jump button is key to your success in the game. My overall appreciation for Croc is that its a fun early 3D collect-a-thon platformer before the more polished ones came out. Its got a charming soundtrack and visuals. A cute mascot. But mostly for the fact that it was the only one to really come to the Saturn. Basically no 3D platformers like this ended up on the system for many reasons so it was cool to have a decent one in Croc. All 3 titles can said to have difficult cameras/controls (as many of that era) but I find when mastered, all 3 games controls are quite rewarding. Burning Rangers being the most if you have time to mess with the flight combos. Really shows off the work Sonic Team put into it. On PS1 Croc's controls are pretty dodgy and stiff, even by tank control standards.

If only NeoGeoNinja was still around, He'd love your poll. It's a tough one as I only played D-Xhird once and I don't really remember the experience as it was so long ago. I have Zero Divide: Final Conflict but I'm trying to get rid of it. Great game, on of the best looking 2D Fighters on the Saturn that money can buy and fighting system is very Virtua Fighter-esque but the robots lack any real sort of personality so it's a kinda bland experience for me. I'm probably go with Zero Divide as I can't remember my experience of the other but looking the video of D-Xhird online it does look pretty decent. Zero Divide is 3D mate! D:

Totally ripping off SYCH here, but oh well... :3
Prefer Zero Divide personally. Controls are nice and tight.

Virtual On really needs the twin stick controller. Otherwise VF2.

I love that dub. The battle system is also one of, if not THE best battle system I've ever experienced in an JRPG, and that's coming for someone who writes for RPGamer lol. did you like grandia 2? Yeah, I had and completed in on Dreamcast. Great game, but not up there with the first. The PS2 port was also kind of dodgy.

You got me curious now wondering it the 3DO could handle Croc. After seeing Need for Speed on 3DO it has some decent 3D muscle.
