Funny, I also remember being able to get my wife to play Baku Baku. We had fun for about the 30 minutes she gave me this day. I could never convince to try to coop through Radiant Silvergun though, how comes ?

Wow some serious collections here. Why are US games more expensive than PAL? To me PAL has better quality packaging...
Hum, I cannot quite agree on the packaging quality. The manual on US games are just way better, because the PAL ones have the multilangage ugly setup. Compare for instance Panzer Saga US manual with Panzer Saga PAL manual. As for the rest, both packaging are equally fragile, easily borken. I can agree that PDS PAL packaging is better than US packaging (except the manual).
Also, NTSC-US games are more expensive than PAL because the NTSC format is more widely supported, and allows 60hz more easily.
Finally, I guess US games are more sought after.

Darius games are indeed quite hard. Everything comes to getting the good power upgrade, and surviving long and intense boss fights. A lot of memorization is needed ; but not as much as in R-Type games, thankfully. Iirc, I got the 1CC in Gaiden in about 2 weeks of almost exclusive play.
Edit : Oh Adam, no ! Easy mode is bad, dont do it more than once or twice to discover what the game has to offer, then switch to normal.

Yes, US games prices are crazy these days. I sold my Panzer Saga copy at 460€ (and it was a bargain) and used this fund to finally end my US collection, glad this is done (until I add more titles ?) Sych, if you're seeking US games at decent prices, you could check the lukiegames site (they also have an ebay store) : www.lukiegames.com/They have quite a large stock, sometimes disc only, and their shipping options to Europe are nice. You have to get to the end of checkout to choose shipping, from $8 to $25. I did try the economic non tracked shipping, and got my games in good condition in less than 2 weeks.

For sure, and this is nothing compared to the US version. Good catch falcon. Are you getting PAL version for collecting, or just for the lower price ?

I've gotten Dragon B"o"ll Z Shinbutoden and Zoku Gussun Oyoyo both from ebay's Yamatoku-Classic and at really decent price (under $30 each).
It is interesting to note that Yamatoku is changing its politics now : * one "buy it now" shop. Free shipping on everything, but the lowest price is $19. If you buy many items, you can get as much as 30% discount on your whole order. I guess it can become quite interesting. * another "auction only" shop which will open this monday may 28th. If shipping is free too, may be a good place to grab some bargains.
Others JP sellers offering auction atm that look interesting : dora_ts and play-japan.

Oh yes, this is the ebay group another user here mentionned before. I did not registered to it yet, still refusing the whole social media stuff. Stupid is me.

I won a competition! Got a physical copy of Resident Evil Revelations for the Switch! Shame I have the first digitally on Switch anyway and the second sucks. Still, sold it for 40€ and with the money I picked up a handful of Japanese games: Mobile Suit Gundam Side Story 2 Mobile Suit Gundam Side Story 3 Virtua Cop Daytona USA Circuit Edition Steep Slope Sliders Vampire Savior Not a bad haul, for basically nothing! Good haul for 40€. Question : are the Gundam Side Story in regular jewel case, or in cardboard case ? I'm seeking the regular jewel case version, and apart from Side Story I, they seem to be pretty rare.

Just received that XMen Vs Street standalone version mentionned in another thread. Now I have the full "Vs Fighting" set from Capcom, but miss spines for Marvel games and Capcom Generations 5.
I must say that Airmail from Japan was the best thing invented ever : cheap, takes less than 10 days to come to Europe, never had a problem nor custom taxes. And it is funny how it all comes in the same plane carrier : I did three orders at different days last week, and they all came today, Christmas day for me, list : - X Men Vs Street - Hyper Duel (was missing the spine for this one) - Asuka 120% - Advanced V.G. - Waku Waku 7 - Fighter's History Dynamite - Pocket Fighters - Cyberbots

SpanishAdam, great find on the PDS. I cannot see all the details of the box, but I guess this has to be really mint for the price to get up to 350€. I priced my copy at 270€ with a box in a not-so-bad shape, visible here : photos.app.goo.gl/0QhWlms7hyswGpTJ3Then I realized I had already sold my other copy, so decided to keep this one. The stupid in me, is stupid. marc, I see we have the same sources for JP stuff on ebay. I had already checked that WipeoutXL from Steeve666b, and the price was indeed good. I also like to check : - hit-japan : some interesting low price items (puzzles for instance), a bit expensive on the pricier ones though, best offer availbale on everything. - jp-goods : many auctions, often rare items. Last auction for Taromaru complete spine+stickers, mint, went at $750. Ouch ! - upstarsjapan : some of the lowest price I see nowadays, really. I got SFZero2 Dash (which is said to be even rarer than SFZero3) at $90 shipped. Best offer available on everything.
