So Forum, I ask you... What happens when you buy your Sega Saturn in an eBay bundle, and TNN 4x4 Hardcore, is among the list of packed in games. (Not curious, as to why the owner shoved that in there).
Do you immediately resell it? DO you hide it? DO you throw it in the dumpster? Or do you put it up on the shelf, maybe? (Why not, right?)
I still have mine, even though I bought my Saturn almost two years ago. I've only played it once, and that's all I have to say about that. I may, in fact, put it up on eBay. There are collectors going for full sets, and I'm sure someone wants it.
Back on topic here: I don't know how you all would rate Croc: Legend of The Gobbos (another game I got in that bundle), but I hated that game. The way it controls is annoying as hell. If I'm gonna do 3D Platforming on Saturn, I'd prefer a game like Clockwork Knight or Pandemonium. Give me 2.5 D, or 3D graphics on a 2D plane.

It'll be very hard to shift Hardcore 4x4 since the demand for it is low. Your best bet is to put it in a two game bundle with Croc since you ain't a fan of that game at a decent price and it should shift very quickly. That's how I got rid of Die Hard Trilogy, I did a two game bundle with the original Wipeout andf it sold on its second day of listing.

Gota disagree with ya sych. I love the jurassic park game on the Saturn. I've played alot of bad Jurassic Park games and I had the most fun with this one. I'm not saying its a great game but I have had a lot of fun with it. The grappling hook controls are ridiculous though...

I hear you. I really wanted to enjoy the game, the graphics are actually really good but the main problem is the anal accuracy needed for landing on a platform. The sensitivity of the procision is ridiculous. If you over judge the landing just by just a little its so unforgiving. In the end it drove me mad!

I find any mention of the various flaws of The Lost World to be irrelevant when I reflect on the fact that you can play as the motherfucking T-Rex. That's all I needed to know about it then and that's all anyone needs to know about it now.
It's at least worth drudging through the rest of the crap for that and that alone.

People were meant to list games they don't like at a personal level, but it's ended up being a topic of games that people love.

Being able to play as a T-rex is so cool. I spam that roar button. And Sych I'm with ya about the ending. Taking on those 2 T-rexes and having to land on those top two platforms consistently is nearly impossible. The game does have some rather unforgiving moments and most involve that dam grappling hook (which was a cool concept, but hard to implement when you have one d-pad to work with )

Saturn Doom. Wasted enough time already talking about this crappy port. Buy the Psone version instead and enjoy! It's just terrible isn't it, Rage software have a lot to blame for. Never played the Saturn version of Corpse Killer: Graveyard Edition but I've played the Mega CD one really not a good game at all. Even with a mission stick Black Fire is an awful game there are much better helicopter games out there for your money. I think it's fair to say most sports games on the Saturn suck with a few exceptions. Here's another one my mate who's currently doing a Saturn series of videos on bad games reminded me of Batman Forever:

I completely disagree with this statement. The World Series Baseball games are as good as any baseball game released since. 3D Baseball is also quite good. The Sega Worldwide Soccer series is always fun to play. The Madden games on Saturn aren't the best in the series but are still quite playable. NBA Jam TE is great. NHL Powerplay 96 and NHL All-Star Hockey 98 are still quite nice hockey games. Daytona USA and it's variants are freaking Daytona. And Sega Rally is a classic.
I'd put most of the remaining sports titles for the Saturn in the average category with only 2-5 landing in the "downright suck" bin.

Didn't like the World Series Baseball games at all but Frank Thomas Baseball is very good.

With so may thread about the best games on Saturn over the net what do people think are the worse? Here's a few of the Saturn games I wish I hadn't played! The Incredible Hulk: The Pantheon Saga is just terrible and got hammered at review back in the 90's such a waste of the Hulk license, if it wasn't for Capcom and Marvel Super Heroes, this could have been Hulks only game on the System, phew. The House of the Dead, love the arcade game but the port by tantalus was just sub standard when compared to Virtua Cop 1 & 2, mid level loading and a weak frame rate mean the port has aged really badly. Black Fire, by far the worse of the helicopter games on the Saturn, with almost everything wrong with it: I'm going to have to seriously disagree with you on House of The Dead. Whilst it isn't as good as Virtua Cop 1 & 2, It is nowhere near a game to avoid. Out of all the really bad Saturn games out there (and there are a few hideous ones) House of the Dead wouldn't even make a top 20 worst games list. Yes it has a weak frame rate but that doesn't render the gameplay terrible. You picked up on mid-level loading, Virtua Cop 2 also has mid-level loading although its not as long, it still there. Personally I found when playing with a Lightgun I was extremly grateful for the mid-level loading as it gave my hands time to relax from all the point and shoot mayhem. Whereas the Virtua Cop series may be overall better games, challenge wise House of the Dead is alot more satisying and gives you far more value for money. I don't think its weak frame rate is enough to warrant an avoid. Some of the most loved Saturn games come with their own problems like the glitchyness in Burning Rangers, the low res of FIghters Megamix, the terrible draw distance in the original Daytona, the severe slowdown in Guardian Heroes. If those games are celebrated with their impediments, why can't House of the Dead be as well? I agree with your other two choices though While I wouldn't call Saturn HotD one of the Saturn's worst games, it's hardly one of the best. Yes, VC2 has mid-level loading, but it's well placed ONCE in the levels around a space where there is no shooting, giving players time to get back into the game so it doesn't ruin the pace. HotD, however, has loading multiple times in each level and it interrupts the pace just before you need to shoot something. What's more, the accuracy of the light-gun is terrible in this game making in near-unplayable. Those videos show how horrible the graphics look too. About the only thing the Saturn version has going for it, in my opinion, in the redbook soundtrack. VC1 and VC2 are nigh on masterpieces. Although I love the coin-op of HotD, the Saturn version is a stinker of a conversion, not worthy of being listed with the likes of the Virtua Cop games, let alone being released to customers in this condition.

We're gonna have to agree to disagree on that one. I don't share your lightgun accuracy experience of Hotd its the same experience as the Virtua Cop series. You just collaborate the gun until it matches your style, I've never had a problem with it. The game is nowhere near un-playable. If something was UN-PLAYABLE you'd probably switch it off after the first level otherwise why would you put yourself through it? I've played HotD multiple times and have never had the urge to switch it off. No-one ever said it was the best game on the Saturn but its no-where near the avoid cateogry. Whereas you may be of the opinion the game should never have been released, I'm very glad they did release it and proud to have it in my collection.

Didn't like the World Series Baseball games at all but Frank Thomas Baseball is very good. Everyone has their own tastes. But I will say that I've been collecting Saturn since launch and this is the first time I've ever heard anyone say that. I'd put Frank Thomas and its sequel All-Star baseball in the worst category along with the Jaleco baseball game whose name escapes me at the moment.
