You can go further with rarity on PAL games. Think about localized version of some games. There are some really rare and HTF games: FIFA 98 Portuguese (very rare) Jonah Lomu Rugby EU version (not the UK and French common versions) (very rare) Hexen Spanish/Italian (uncommon) Marvel Super Heroes Spanish/Italian (uncommon) other Spanish/Italian version of games (uncommon) La Mansión de las Almas Ocultas Spanish (uncommon) And Plastic Case rereleased version of games as barryburton (I think) stated in another post
Not counting the Classic games released in Portugal with an additional manual.

So according to the matrix number, it is the same as the released PAL game: complete game, no difference. Too bad it is not a really special demo for Nights But it is always great to find new disc for Saturn. Thanks again for the pictures.

Having thought about it, could this be similar to the other "demo" type samplers that Sega Europe had pressed around the same period as when NiGHTS came out (late 1996)? I'm fairly certain someone here once mentioned owning a promotional copy of Sega Worldwide Soccer '97 that was just the full game with a different label, and I recall there being similar discs pressed up for Daytona USA Championship Circuit Edition and Virtua Cop 2, plus Fighting Vipers - I might be wrong, but I remember the latter being sold via eBay in this form. confirmed: SWWS97, Daytona USA CCE and VC2 demos are all of them identical to the complete games. They have "SOE" in their serial numbers. For a demo of Fighting Vipers PAL, I never saw it. Do you have any information/photo ? For this nights demo disc, matrix number could help. Btw, it doesn't have a serial number with "SOE", but this is not a way to be sure about its content.

I never saw this demo disc, and so, I didn't have any record for it on satakore.com This is a great find. I now need to add it to the site. May I ask you: Can I use your photo on satakore.com ? If you think about selling it, pleases contact me, I could be interested

US Powerslave price is between 30 and 70 USD nowadays. It was cheaper some years ago. You are right, no copy on eBay right now. 3 were sold in April: 37 USD, 38.50 USD and 76 USD; another one, CD only, in May for 15.50 USD. There are some on Amazon but too expensive. You can always check Satakore Saturn Store to find the ones available on eBay, we made this tool to help people find saturn games easily (it seems that I need to talk more about it I see a lot of people looking for games desperately when we already worked on search keywords for every saturn games). If you really want it, there are plenty Exhumed PAL versions for sale right now, or you can get the Japanese version: Seireki 1999 (3 on eBay right now for approx the same price as the cost of the US version). And this is really a good game.

bought FIFA 98 lately, really rare, for the version I found I need to get it on hands to validate it, it's on the way now. Good for you. Don't keep us in suspense. What's rare about it? Different cover art e.t.c Released for a specific country and I think it is the only game that got a release for this country, with back cover and manual (instead of just a sticker): Portugal. The cover was used for another country but the back cover gives you a hint that it is different. Cd is probably the same as the UK version. More info when I will get it.

you're right, i didn't look carefully at the logo and back. I don't think off any black saturn with these logo (PAL, USA and later black SK Saturn), i just check mine right now.
Hmm.

I have a feeling that many of those "variations" are just normal cases where one retailer snapped a sticker on it, and put a game inside the box. I do recall seeing a box that specified that it comes with a RF cable, in a similar sticker. Probably also the same deal there. Those variations would be impossible to keep track of. => Sega Saturn - R.F. Unit included in this pack. (Sticker) [text with or without dots] => so also different stickers for the same pack! This one has a special serial and barcode though.

New PAL UK pack found today on ebay.co.uk, advertised as hottest sega saturn auction tonight.
How many PAL packs did they do ? It is impossible to track all of them!
