Taking a break from Lemmings (I think I am going to take a break after each difficulty level) and started playing Titan Wars. It´s a lot better than I expected. It runs really smooth and the cutscenes are fantastic. My only gripe it seems that it´s really hard (although I am only on level 3). Maybe I just suck at it. Don't worry about it. Considering the ammount of reviews i've read, Titan Wars really is hard.

SpanishAdam, great find on the PDS. I cannot see all the details of the box, but I guess this has to be really mint for the price to get up to 350€. I priced my copy at 270€ with a box in a not-so-bad shape, visible here : photos.app.goo.gl/0QhWlms7hyswGpTJ3Then I realized I had already sold my other copy, so decided to keep this one. The stupid in me, is stupid. marc, I see we have the same sources for JP stuff on ebay. I had already checked that WipeoutXL from Steeve666b, and the price was indeed good. I also like to check : - hit-japan : some interesting low price items (puzzles for instance), a bit expensive on the pricier ones though, best offer availbale on everything. - jp-goods : many auctions, often rare items. Last auction for Taromaru complete spine+stickers, mint, went at $750. Ouch ! - upstarsjapan : some of the lowest price I see nowadays, really. I got SFZero2 Dash (which is said to be even rarer than SFZero3) at $90 shipped. Best offer available on everything. Ebay is extremely overpriced right now and people tend to guide their prices from there... In Portugal we have a portal called "OLX" which pretty much is a platform were people post their items and sell directly without a reference count/system and i noticed Spain also have one. Both have one thing is common: prices are ridiculous. I found a PDS - no cardboard and no manual - for a whooping 300€ and a complete one for 500€! For heavy hitters, i advise you to check *Galaxy Sega* (a facebook group - it's Sega stuff in general, not only Saturn). It requires admin approval, but they aren't too strict about it. It's a UK based forum and some people don't like shipping abroad, but some do and you'll find complete bargains down there. For instance, i got Shenmue I & II (both complete) for 75£ + shipping costs. Everyone uses paypal and for a whole year of membership i never heard of any kind of problems with sales. I've seen in the past PDS being sold for 180-200£ (which is the standard there). Megaman for 180 and Swagman for the same ammount. There was even a guy selling his Mint Shining Force 3 for 105£ and no one touched it because it was expensive for their standards. There are also lots of people who buy batches of games and have tons of duplicates. All in all: if you want to buy Sega stuff, join that facebook group and get on a shopping spree : p Trust me, as long as you're honest, you won't regret it.

Picked up a bunch of Saturn titles to see me through the early part of 2018. Grabbed: Titan Wars Dark Savior Hexen Baroque Courier Crisis Skeleton Warriors Also looking out for an affordable D and then I´ll leave it at that until at least Easter, perhaps Summer, I reckon! For various reasons, i had to sell half of my collection and all the heavy hitters besides PDZ, but Dark Savior is one of those games i can't simply part ways with. I only played it once but it's definetely one of those games that will require you to get back at it if you want to get the most out of it. If you haven't played it already i would recommend you start that whole bundle by Dark Savior. It's worth it ; )

Was Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 released with a plastic case cover? I don't think so, but I always wonder how and where the revised version was released: Portugal only ? And so maybe plastic case. Does anyone have the revision of this game, or a plastic version ? To be fair, UMK3 is somewhat easy to get in Portugal and i've never seen any plastic re-release copy... Altough i didn't really know there was a "revised version" of the game. Can you share some thoughts about this?

Well one game that immediately comes to mind for me is Christmas Night. I have seen it last year on ebay in the plastic case. Christmas nights only came in a card sleeve. It didn't really have it's own case. Most likely a repro

Got myself a Virtual On in a plastic case. When i saw it for sale for 9£ (without the manual) i totally fliped. Already had a mint cardbox but, oh well, a plastic case is always better! And to be fair, i knew it was rare AF so i bought it. I'm getting a VF2 case in a couple of days too and was able to find a Sega Rally one.
Was also able to snatch a SFA2 in a plastic case even though it was a little bit expensive. Here in Portugal it's almost impossible to find a complete copy of SFA2 for less than 40€.
I only need Nights into Dreams and Dragonball Z plastic cases to finish my upgrades and i'll finally end my Saturn collecting run.
As for Fighting Vipers, i've seen a copy being sold for 10€ but i didn't need the game so i passed. It IS pretty rare though. Either way, here in Portugal, i'd say that it's almost impossible to find Plastic cases for some games. However, for some reason, PD Zwei is somewhat common - same goes for Clockwork Knight and Dragonball Z (Dragonball Z was pretty much the most successful game here because of the anime, almost every saturn owner had this).
Nights into dreams, SFA2, VF2, Sega Rally... Well, that's a whole different story, especially nowadays. After a couple of years of people selling their saturn games for 5€ each, now they are asking ridiculous prices (stuff like 500€ for a panzer dragoon saga...), which makes collecting somewhat harder.

The only problem here is you can't chose the three.
Panzer Dragoon Zwei is my absolute favourite when it comes to nostalgia. Nights is all about magic and simplicity and Dragonforce is a game way ahead of its time.
Three masterpieces.

I only played Saga, but i did watch a lot of grandia And shining force.
I have to go with saga. As a panzer dragoon fan, it's hard not to look at saga with mysticism. It's atmosphere, it's battle system, it's story... The moment i got the game in my own hands i knew i was in for a special ride... And what a ride it was!
The ammount of holy sh*t moments this game had - shellcoof And the dragon crest were insane. When guardian Dragon boss battle started i was completely out of my mind...
I only have a single playthrough in saga, but it was so breathtaking as a panzer dragoon fan that absolutely justified the ridículous ammount of Money i payed for the game.

Sidebar random question. My buddy used to play Brad in vanilla VF5 and he had that stupid, annoying quick block breaking move. I always played Shun Di, how was I supposed to defend against that bs?
I'm not exactly the right person to answer that question. I would recommend you to search Shoryuken forums to get some info.

the thing is in fighting vipers. anyone could pick up the controller and be able to win battles. in virtua fighter 2 any noob will get schooled by cpu and experienced players. But that's the thing. It is actually the exact opposite. Button bashers and noobs will and can easily win battles on VF2 because the game mechanics allow for it. You can't get away with winning via fluke on Fighting Vipers because combo breakers and various other aspets of the game don't allow for it. VF2 is more of a button bashers dream than FV. No matter how expertly skilled you are VF2 you can easily fall victim to a newbies variation of a PPK combo than you can on FV. There are no flukes agains't a good or even agains't a decent VF player. Speaking of combos: www.youtube.com/watch?v=mGaXvwYd_98Try to do half of these if you can. Because i don't and i have thousands of hours playing fighting games lol

Only 15 votes anyway. Either way, Fighting Vipers is much more of a casual fighting game. It's understandable it comes out on top on these kind of poles I actually feel Fighting Vipers is slower paced. VF2 is just much more technical. To be proficient in VF (in general) isn't an easy task at all so it feels a bit slower but, in fact, the problem is with the player and not the game : p It's things like that make Fighting Vipers more technical than VF2. If I'm playing VF2 I know I'll attack Sarah, Jacky, Lau, Lion and Shun exactly the same way to achieve the same success. It's only when playing countering Akira and cheating Dural that I have to change up my tactics. But that's mainly down to the AI not fighting fairly.
Don't take it in the wrong way, but this statement is screaming "casual" gamer - and that's just fine. The only way you'll have success in Virtua Fighter (in general, not only the 2nd) is adapting to the various match-ups. Sure, if you play solo or agains't a couple of friends you might feel everything works in the same way as opposed to Fighting Vipers. Meaning: Fighting Vipers has a better AI (eventually) and the use of weapons might feel like it's easier to interpret what's happening on screen. For ages, Virtua Fighter franchise was the most technical 3D fighting game's franchise and everything just used VF2 concepts in order to create new IPs or adapting existing ones. Even Tekken eventually started using Virtua Fighter's juggling properties to perform combos (not those "10-hit combos" you could find in the command list - i'm talking about TRUE combos). I could go on and on and on... I've been entering fighting games tournaments since i was 19 (i'm 27 now), i've met hundreds of players, travelled abroad just to enter in tournaments and only a tiny little fraction played Virtua Fighter competitively due to its complexity.
