what wasn't finished about burning rangers? Sonic Team had originally planned to include a co-operative mode, which could be seen in some of the earliest preview builds (along with a handful of leftover audio files on the game disc that confirm the existence of such a feature), but then development was restarted after months of work had already been put in. My understanding is... LOL Anthaemia. Fell for it.

VF Kids is by far the best of the three in my opinion, it's only downside is the chibi looks, and that one is up to taste. Agreed. Voted accordingly

I have been using vgy.me/ to host the image for my signature for free like photobucket used to allow. Thanks for this Cap! I have used Photobucket for close to a decade for free, went away from the net 'for a bit', came back and all my sigs and avatars are now broken links. I'll have a look at the link you posted and 'migrate' there instead

Its been a long time. I have to say this is still my favorite gaming forum on the internet after sleeping around with a bunch of them. So when I was here last I had a Saturn and like three games but I loved the thing to death. Sadly I had to part ways with it because I was finally about to realize my goal of working and living abroad. Now I do... And I just got back from Japan with a Japanese Saturn and a nice little starter load of games. So I'm very happy to be returning to the Saturn forum and seeing all your beautiful faces again. I don't know how I lasted without this console for such a huge chunk of my life. We never 'met' but, welcome back! Yart still has your quote in his Sig... the sole reason I recognise your handle tbh

I'm torn between declaring it or Black Fire as the worst Saturn game I have ever played. Damn. I still really want Black Fire too, but it's quite uncommon here in the UK. I know, I know... but at some point, I'm gonna have to do it. No need when the AMAZING Thunderhawk 2 exists but, hey. (Can't say Black Dawn was all that hot either tbh...)

LOL @ US BOX ART... as per usual. I know Derek is a fan though. Big engines. Good in a straight line vs our European Audi's, BMW's and Mercs, eh? No. The British make fuck all now. We sold out to Asian outsourcing. Big time. We're nothing now re: manufacturing era. Anywaaay... Last Bronx IS my fave 3D fighter for Saturn along with DOA. Great game, Great choice. SSS is non-too-shabby either

The PAL art is mostly the same but I always chuckled because the zombie is wearing skinny jeans since they cropped the art to fit it. Hahahahahahahahaha! I always thought it was funny because... the shirt the zombie is wearing... the shirt... it's white. White. But... torn. Torn and bloody. Always made me chuckle. I never laughed at the jeans though. That's just weird.

Batsugun has been super awesome so far and the best of the new purchases. Very similar to DoDonpachi in some ways but alot better imo which createdr dilemma. Having both DoDonpachi and Batsugun didn't sit well with me so I also got rid of DoDonpachi and replaced it with Sengoku Blade. All 3 new additions are amazing so far and long may they continue to be. YES!!! The holy trinity of Saturn Shmups continues: Battle Garegga, Batsugun & Sokyugurentai

As far as i remember, this game is 4 button layout comparing to capcom's 6 button layout, so i thought that the roster of moves is limited comparing to street fighter. Incorrect. KOF 97 is more complicated than ANY SF on the Saturn. The fighting system itself is more complicated without diving into combo's and stuff. SFZ3 & VSaviour being the most complicated Capcom fighters on the system imo. Marvel vs Street Fighter less so. people who don't 'understand' KOF will also claim it's not as complicated as SF due to only having 4 buttons The whole 4-button vs 6-button discussion just isn't relevant. You really don't need the LP & LK in Capcom games that much anyway. It's all about the Mediums! SNK use lot's of 'command normals' which can be used to chain combo's together, unlike Capcom where you can't (i.e. like F+LK or B+LP). For example, you can't chain Ryu's F+MP or F+MK overheads into anything in SF and their startup times are horrendous! It's worth getting both games as they are both super cheap, so I wouldn't limit myself to one or the other, I'd get both. This. Although, based on what you've mentioned so far, I reckon IF you HAVE to choose, go with SS4. It's immense!

On the other hand, I find I rarely finish $5 games, because I feel no commitment to it, so I've by and large stopped buying those kinds of games. A game isn't as compelling or engaging as the price you pay for it.

Oh yeah, when life decides to kick you in the balls, it usually don't stop untill you're begging. And god damn, Shinobi 3 music is so awesome! The Mega Drive sound chip wasn't top notch, but when the developers knew how to use it to the fullest, magic things happened! This is ALL; very true

What's up everyone, how are you guys doing? It's been a crazy year for me, got a new job in the end of last year that was absolutely crazy and had me do overtime pretty much daily for being the only designer there in a company that makes monthly magazines, it was nuts. Left there in the beggining of this year and started buying and selling retro consoles here in Brazil on Mercado Livre (our eBay of some sorts) and started a new job 4 months ago again as the only Designer and Marketing guy in a company that have a few stores that sell chair and tables for offices here in Rio. Mix all that up with college where I'm finally almost graduating and had to do my final project in the last 6 months and on top of that all the bullshit legal battles that have been going on between my wife family because of a house she inherited from her uncle and you got a recipe for a pretty crazy (and slightly shitty) year. But hopefully it'll all get sorted soon and I can finally relax again. But yeah, how you guys have been? I was missing here, hope I can start to participate a little more from now on. Yep. Life does that I'm afraid. Like a whirlwind! Welcome back.
