First purchase in ages.. I like it! Its damn hard though.. prob coz Im not used to "beat them ups" What fighters are good for the Saturn? Ooo nice, I've been keeping an eye out for a copy of that but it's too expensive for my liking.
Nekketsu Oyako and Tenchi Wo Kurau are two good examples for the Saturn, they are quite expensive but compared to most AES games it's like pocket change.

I prefer Kid Chameleon. I tried so many times to complete that when I was younger, failed on every attempt.

Hell I bet half of us on here lose a couple of grand a year on car depreciation. Depends on where you come in on owning a car, my last car actually gained a few £££'s during my ownership...well, until I crashed it at least.
Games seem to be a sound investment at the moment but there's no guarantee it will last but most of us probably don't care about it's value in say 10 years.

But I will miss the towel-whipping in the locker room, metaphorically speaking. In the forums, this became verbal put-downs, photo edits and unflattering caricatures. I think the main source for those shenanigans are over on the pcenginefx and neogeo forums these days where the old timers basically take a piss over new users attempting to ask a reasonable question. Welcome to the forums, hope you enjoy the rational discussions.

Despite the fact I have 2 copies of VF3 I've never actually played it. (speaking of which, i'll be donating one in the 'Free' section of the forums when I get around to it.)
Personally I loved VF5:FS and VF4:Evo equally, VF5 online made me realise how shite I was at the game and I always loved the game mode in VF4 where you tour the arcades for competition.
2 was pretty cool but by that point, I was already infatuated with the Tekken series which probably explains why I never got around to playing VF3.

Okay I'll make this simple for you, until you post a constructive response to the suggestions that have been offered I won't bother to post again.
Chances are you are not the only one, other people have probably had the issue, tried another build or similar alternative and like magic they have worked around the issue rather than let it consume them for two months.

I take it you've tried different builds from that link then? How it's taken you months to find Saturn emulators is a little beyond me, taking into account there are like two functional emulators that are referenced on every gaming forum in the entire world (probably).
To be honest you should be grateful someone has even done a Saturn emulator, when I actually gave a toss about emulation years ago it was the only system that hadn't been emulated from that gen of systems. Even the Dreamcast had a fully functional emulator years before the Saturn.

Well, assuming it said "MainWindows" in my error message, I would assume it is related to Windows. Combine that with nobody else receiving this kind of error before and that would make sense. Even so, how would I begin to fix something like that? And, I already tried downloading it again and putting all my Bios and ISO files in the new one, but it still gave the same error. Either way, this is pretty ludicrous for it to require this much effort to map my inputs. Probably not, that looks like a C++ class file or something similar. The name is just a reference point for whoever coded it.
It's trial and error if the issue isn't known:
Try: Different builds Different OS/devices Compatability mode
If all else fails, shutdown into recovery mode and use the following command: format c: /q

If it worked fine for two months then it's either:
- A system update or new hardware that's caused the issue - A change to the emulator config
If you just download and setup the emulator in a different folder without changing anything and it works, then you know it's the emu config. If you setup a clean build of the emulator and the problem persists, then it's your Windows install.
If you can rule out the one option it will make fixing it a lot easier.

That Astra Superstars to be honest just doesn't suits me at all. I still think that for a second game i should pickup something from SNK. Please anyone, choose one game from SNK and tell me why. NeoGeoNinja, please respond, you seem to be a person with appropriate knowledge about SNK and their NeoGeo ports. What is the difference between sega saturn snk games experience comparing to original neogeo experience ? Let's say KOF96 on saturn and on neogeo. Let's say saturn is 99% arcade perfect and neogeo is 100% arcade perfect. Does this 1% makes a difference ? Loading times! Games like Real Bout Special where it's a single fight ain't so bad, you get load screens before and maybe after fights. The KOF games on the other hand, specifically KOF 96 and 97 need to load every time a fighter is beaten and the next fighter in the team jumps in. So that's anywhere up to 5 times a fight. Games like Fighters History load once on boot, World Heroes Perfect is pretty quick as well.
On the flip side though, the CD versions have enhanced music which is pretty f*cking awesome compared to the carts and the port itself in regards to accuracy is fairly spot on. There may be subtle differences to the timing on some combos etc but unless you are a KOF die hard you won't notice the difference.
My personal opinion is avoid the KOF games if you're impatient, if you can handle the load times though then absolutely '96 or '97 should be considered.

In a nutshell:
What OS are you using? Has it worked before? Have you tried another build?

I think I paid about £25 for mine, I don't mind the wait so I import the majority of stuff. Just comes down to how anal you are about your collection. I'm pretty bad for being an anal collector (oh er). If it's just the regular case then It needs to be complete with spine or it will just play on my mind that it's incomplete. Games with the sleeve like above don't have a spine card so the fun begins when you have to decide between the regular case and spine or the boxed version with the cart, oh the drama. If you're happy with just the disc or whatever then crack on I say, for some people it's just owning the game that matters, however it comes.

The version included in the collection is the Gold/Dash revision. There are a few changes, character versions and selections being the most obvious then there are some moves that have been tweaked or added. Think of it as SFA/Z2.1
Worth buying if you're SFA2 diehard.
Does it mean that the game is more balanced ? Which one plays better from the street fighter alpha fan point of view ? Can't say I've spent much time with it but I guess you could class it as the most complete/polished version overall.
Full list of changes etc HERE

Hey, don't know if this is the right thread but i've just one question about Street Fighter Zero 2 and Street Fighter Collection. I didn't know that SSF Collection includes SSFZ 2 and i always own SSFZ2 So it is worth to buy Street Fighter Collection if you own SSFZ2? Thanks for advice The version included in the collection is the Gold/Dash revision.
