16 GBP for this game right ? Indeed, which isn't too bad, but note it's not in its original case (I think). Just a clear case, probably random. It's the case that is normally bundled with the 4MB RAM expansion cart and cardboard sleeve. I have it at home but with the sleeve and cart.

That place looks like pure porn, i'm guessing they are a little expensive though.

No advocates for Street Fighter Collection? SSF2 should at least get a look in when fighting games are discussed.
Have you considered some random fighters, K1 is a surprisingly good game and when you have group of friends playing fighters, if it's gonna last a few rounds before someone throws a tantrum then having games that no one has seen will level the playing field so to speak.
It doesn't fit the bill of being strictly 2D but why exclude games that are good fun in groups.

Sadly I don't have a CRT to take advantage of the light gun in the shooting sections. Outside of that I played it through on my PSP a few months back so I'll probably give it a look but won't play it through again.

Kojima is a proper movie buff, the MGS games are a perfect example and are overflowing with movie references. I'll have to find the article that was printed years back but he lists quite a few.
For example, one of 'em was definitely James Bond. Hence the tuxedo you unlocked in MGS after a few completions.

It's a great experience but sadly it lacks anything that will bring you back to it once you're done, but that single play through is very engaging.

That should be fine mate, I have the same step-down knocking about and popped a multi-meter in to test and it outputs a steady 119v. Japanese electronics should be fine within 100v-120v, i'm no expert so not sure how much higher that tolerance would go to.

Wow, in all these years there's a statement I never thought I would read. So you find Saturn Daytona on par with the arcade version gameplay wise? If you don't mind me interjecting, we have a 10-seat arcade unit at the Dave and Busters near me and I've always found the transition from Saturn Daytona (using the arcade racer) and the arcade pretty seamless. The only thing that I find annoying is the arcade's rubber banding of opponents when playing multi-player. You just can't leave anyone behind regardless of your skill level. I didn't even know that existed, most I think I ever saw in the day was 4 player.

I always considered Daytona on the Saturn to be a bit shit but by no means one of the worst games on the system. Would have been nice to have seen Daytona 2 ported to the Dreamcast but sadly it didn't happen.

You can see the difference between RGB and composite pretty easily, the key identifier is that RGB doesn't make you bleed from the eyes.

Just burnt a copy to test it, works fine with the AR4-1 cart (flashed with Atlas) on a PAL Saturn.
It's either the cart itself or the software you flashed your cart with. If the 4MB expansion worked before it was flashed then that narrows your problem down.

I really enjoyed Die-Hard Arcade but was pretty disappointed with the sequel on the Dreamcast.

I guess you won't really know unless you open up your cable and confirm how it's wired up. I have x2 "Scart" leads here which are clearly wired for composite.
There's a Polish chap on feeBay (TheFoo83 or something) who sells RGB scart cables which are wired for both PAL and JPN units.
Your order of preference for picture quality should go something like:
RGB > S-Video (not actually sure if this is an option) > Composhite > RF (lol, don't do it)

Haha, I played this for the first time a few weeks back. Had a copy I was selling on eBay and just wanted to test it was working. Hands down, one of the worst games I have ever played, like...ever.

If you frequently use the disc swap trick to play burned games, then it's bound to damage your system after a while. Only if you are very rough on the system, and even then it is most likely just the tray getting too low and/or the laser giving out (which happens normally over time anyway). This ^
I have a Saturn where the spindle was sitting 1mm-2mm lower than it should so on occasion you would get a "tch tch tch" scraping sound as the disc made contact with the CD drive unit floor. When I opened it up there was a loose piece of tape over the drive door mechanism so concluded it had been used for backups and subsequently battered during disc swaps.
