Cotton 2 is fantastic! sorry I haven't been on these boards that much but anyway regarding the game I love it. The chaining system is great as are the street fighter-esque attacks.
I wish I still had my old youtube account I had a complete play through of Cott 2.
I would also have loved to have seen the ST-V version in my local arcades back in the day but unfortunately.....
I had high regard for Success after what they did on Cotton 2 / saturn hardware, then when I saw Cotton for the dreamcast.........

btw in regards to Fighters Megamix the intro has fantastic music and it's quite sharp too. I love the fact that it's full screen. I remember my mates who were just spoilt with the tekken intros were liking the light hardheartedness of this. Fighters Megamix at that point had the most varied and one of the largest rosters of players ever. Jane from Vitua Cop was my fave mostly because AM2 modeled her off from Aoi. I really felt that AM2 should have added Sonic in that roster and if I can recall correctly in an interview with AM2 in the official Sega saturn mag, they left sonic out because of something like they wanted Fighters Megamix to represent an AM2 game..... after all Sonic was a Sonic team creation... The Western release is iirc censored too. These pics particularly Honey and Tokio were censored. The only thing I think the western versions have over the japanese one is the music doesn't restart every round.

a very good game in it's own right. The music is fantastic and Alucard is able to run.
Despite being what I consider a poor port compared to the psx but with extras, the packaging to this game is beautiful and.....
You can put the Saturn game CD into a mac/pc and view a folder of artwork.

There is a certain magic attack that an later enemy does and later on I think you learn it... the way the screen flashes is almost enough to give me an epileptic seizure so be careful
Also when you beat the game you get a game difficulty and sound option... I think there was only one track that I really liked in the first SFIII game

Never mind, problem solved. It was the third party cable. I have so many Saturns laying around, and twice as many cabels so i have a hard time keeping track of 'em all. I took a dive into the rats nest that is my gaming cable bag and found an official Saturn SCART. Tried it, and it worked perfectly with the JAP Saturn. So todays lesson is: Do not buy third party crap, SEGA original stuff ftw. yea I was just thinking that cause I got a scart lead that works fine on both pal saturn and japanese.. kinda same applies for today's consoles too

I thought albert odyssey was too "old skool" although I hear the japanese version had far too many random enemy encounters.. so says Victor Ireland...
might also wanna try Princess Crown, Grandia Digital Museum and Tengai Makyou IV if you can stomach the japanese menus and stuff

I didn't like this... hated the fact you had to mash the button to build up running speed

wasn't this the last game Capcom released for the saturn?? unless it was final fight revenge..
It used to be quite expensive but I dunno if the demand is still high anymore.. got mine years ago from hong kong but was pissed when it arrived cause the SF3 cardboard box got slightly bent in the post..
The dramatic battle mode is awesome but better with 2 players vs the computer or 1 player vs the computer & 2nd player

lol my pc engine doesn't have a stable image on lcd tv... the image goes weird every few minutes which really bugs me.. I find that to stabilise it I have to hook it to a video recorder or dvd recorder hooked up to the tv

I always thought this was an issue with Scart RGB connection as I always had this problem with the older CRT screens..
The LCD ones you can adjust the centering but they don't display the older consoles well unless its hooked up to another system like; pc engine> hooked up to >dvd recorder > hooked up to >LCD TV

oh u mean a stepdown convertor? I got one that ran a US ps2 and it's compatible with saturn.. and if you in the UK can try looking in Maplin stores
might want to try hunting Albert Odyssey, Ion Storm and Magic Knight Rayearth
