I've been playing worms ( PAL ) on a japanese Saturn with action replay cart all weekend ( My sisters kid loves the game ) . You should be fine. Like Davyk I have no experience with Rayman, but it should work.

infernalcombustion: That was my plan, but thanks for the tip. Hopefully I'll get the disc to read properly. If not, well I only paid 12 bucks ( for the PAL/EU version its not that much ) . If all else fails I could allways try and find a disc only copy somewhere.

Played Worms and DOA with my nephew. Unfortunately the Resident Evil Uk CD I bought doesn't appear to be in good shape. The CD doesn't get past the first ( intro ) cutscene.

buckoa51: does not appear to be DEP. I deleted an earlier post stating it was. I managed to get into the 0.12 version and select a bios and country code. After closing and restarting the emulator crashed on me again with the same runtime error. THX for the suggestion though. Still weird i got to run it this one time. No clue as to why...

As far as i've read there aren't that many changes made in the 0.12 version. I'd really like to get the 012 working on my own pc. I've manage to get 0.12 working on my business pc. The 0.11 version has some weird little problems: Mostly: the ssf emulator respond to keystrokes even when not selected. So for example you're running the emulator as a mediaplayer for your audio cd ( don't ask me why one wants to do that, I just DID use is as a MP yesterday ~~ ) and you go to www.f ( acebook.com ) it registers the "f" key as pauze... This problem does not occur in the 0.12 version. I don't care that much. I normally use Winamp for MP and when your playing games you're not using any other programs ( usually ) , but regardless I just want 0.12 running at home

Don't think that will help DEP is only used for windows essential programs on my pc, so it shouldn't affect SSF, but I'll give it a try later. Thx for your response

I've tried to google and go through the forums before asking here, but haven't been able to find an answer so far:
I've been playing with the SSF emulator today, but for some reason I can't get the current version ( 0.12 as far as i can find ) to work. It keeps giving me runtime errors as soon as i start the exe file. When I load the 0.11 version it seems to run fine. ( managed to get a bios to load anyway ). For now there don't appear to be that many changes between the two versions, but if anyone knows a fix it would be welcome.
So far I have tried: installing Direct X 9.0. Repairing my C++ 64bit install , running in XP compatibility modus. Nothing seems to help.
No need to spend a lot of time on this issue, I won't be doing that myself either. Just thought maybe someone here might have had the same issues.

@saturnhst is there a way to contact you directly regarding those duplicates? Since I'm fairly newbe here i can't view the marketplace and since spamming my way to 20 posts is not considered to be proper behaviour ... Also: THough not a game, I bought A action replay cart on ebay today. Figured it might come in handy since I have a JP saturn and most games over here in the Netherlands are PAL .

Welcome, I've read that those action replay cards can get you some strange "borders" when you're playing import games. If thats true you might want to consider getting a Japanese console. I got myself one and it made me very happy. Must add that i haven't owned a Replay card, so these strange borders might be untrue. There is also some talk on several websites that ( especially the older ) action replay cartridges don't fit in the slot very well and you have to wiggle them around, eventually damaging your system. The more recent cartridges appear to be better. Again: not talking from first hand experience, so perhaps there are some experienced AR-cartridge users on this forum that are able to help you

"My original xbox and the xbox360 are really only dvd players in our house."
I got an Xbox360 just for playing Star Ocean ( it wasn't available for the PS3 at the time ). My sistsers kid now plays GTA4 on it, but other than that it isn't being used that much. Neither is my PS3 for that matter.

Hiya folks, I'm a dutch 34 year old casual retro game collector ( Is that even possible? yes, it is ) Currently I own two Atari 2600's , a NES, a gamecube, A Sega megadrive, a PS2 , A PS 3, A XBOX360 and -since this sunday - ONE Japanese Sega Saturn ( which is why I am here in the first place ) . I was told that the best games for the saturn were Japanese so the grey console with the nice pink buttons was the way to go. To bad they didn't mention that the Japanese are on 110 volt and that doesn't go well with the European 220 volt system. Which meant i had to wait till a converter was delivered before i could actually power on the system without making it burn up. As mentioned earlier I am not a hardcore collector, I have no complete sets of Atari, Sega, Playstation or other brands. One buys what one likes and not what one does not. I expect i'll be reading on this forum more than I'll be posting, but some sense of decent behaviour made me write this introduction. I'd write more about myself, but I really don't want to. Besides, it wouldn't be a story anybody would be interested in. That is it for now.
