Winter Heat is a fantastic game! Just make sure you get Athlete Kings to go with it! That is Athlete King/Decathlete that he has bought. I went for the JPN Sega Ages games, prefer them as individual games over the PAL collection.

Personally I can't see the point in owning the full catalogue of games for any console. I would rather collect my favourite titles from multiple systems rather than complete a single set.

Ahh I've used Hit Japan before but never realised they have a web site, BOOKMARKED! Post count tied. I'll have to look up the other ZD games NGN, they are a guilty pleasure that I don't think many others indulge in. If you like the approach Savaki takes, I can't recommend Buriki One highly enough. I don't think it's emulated though but man it's pretty awesome, if you can lay your hands on a Hyper64 you won't regret it.

Apart from Gran Chaser, I can now cross off Savaki, Zero Divide: The Final Conflict and Magical Hoppers from my wanted lists!!! So stoked! Here's hoping they all arrive within the week Has anybody ordered from JapanGameStock before? They say to allow 3-6 days for delivery - if that is indeed the case, and my orders come through that fast (here to Australia), then I think I'll be buying through them a bit more in the future. Ooo let me know how this one works out for you. I LOVED the original on the PSX and I've been tempted on one or two occasions to get the Saturn release.
I'm surprised you don't use eBay for your JPN games, being so close to Japan there are some epic sellers available to you. Best part is some of them have multiple pictures of the case/manual at several different angles so you don't get any unpleasant surprises when you open it up. The prices are around the same as listed on that site as well, although you won't find 'games' like this on eBay:

Woot!

Ahh placing first in Manx TT is easy enough when you know how. It's all about the slip streaming so if you get into the front of the pack at the wrong section you'll lose speed and drop places. Touring Car on the other hand, I have only nasty memories of that which I really don't want to experience ever again.

or release never if nobody wants it Some people would obviously love to see it but these boards are not as busy as they once were from what I can tell.

Modchips don't let you play imports though, only region free BIOS or switchless region free does that. That's a good piece of info, I would have assumed a mod would cover all bases. I'm surprised there isn't a sticky FAQ to this effect for most questions asked here. As I guess for most people who are Saturn vets it's common knowledge but to muppets like me it's new info.

Try disconnecting your controller, get to the redefine keys screen and plug it back in. Failing that, try Xpadder.

Only games i'm aware of are Dragon Force II and Shining Force 3: Premium Disc. Policenauts looks like it's in progress and I saw a mention for Langrisser 3(?) so I imagine the Sega Ages: I love Mickey Mouse release is way down the list on actively being translated.

Ditch the profiler and use Joy2Key to assign the keyboard inputs to your pad, done.

Can't say i'm an expert but if your PC recognises the input device but the application doesn't, try using Joy2Key. Allows you to map your pad inputs to keys, worked a treat for me on Chankast to the extent of configuring the analogue stick on a PS2 pad.

So I've just had a copy of Real Bout Special turn up however it came with a 4MB RAM cart, I was expecting 1MB.
On the box I can see 4MB mentioned:
Is this a matter of both 1MB and 4MB being supported? All the sources I've checked would indicate this only needs 1MB.

Well I've got it and tested it out, albeit on a single game but what it does isn't THAT bad but then again it isn't that great either. I imagine the results will favour different games but it adds what I can only describe as a red-ish hue to the whole image the more you amplify the scan lines. Could be a fault with the unit or an inherent side effect of a dirty approach to a SLG.
You also get bars rather than lines on bigger displays but there yah go, i'll probably play with it some more at a later date.

The consoles themselves are not worth that much really, I picked one up for £20 a few months back. It's a small price to pay if you're that eager to play backups with an element of risk.
I used to hot-swap everything back on my original PS1 many moons ago, even after 2 years of abuse it was still running fine.
